Records at the Eminence Police Department
Eminence Police is at the city address, 5115 S. Main Street, P.O. Box 163, Eminence, KY 40019. Its main number is 502-845-4744. KSP Post 5 provides dispatch at 502-532-6363. These routes help identify a file, but the research does not establish that each accepts formal open-records requests. Ask where to send the request and whether email, mail, fax, or an in-person submission is accepted.

These figures count reported offenses submitted in the state system. They are not convictions, defendants, or unique people. One event can also produce more than one offense entry. A person researching a particular Eminence event still needs the police report and the later court file. Booking and Arrest Records in Eminence

Eminence's official police page routes dispatch through KSP Post 5 in Campbellsburg. That does not mean every dispatched event becomes a KSP report. The responding or investigating agency usually determines the custodian. If an Eminence officer handled the incident, begin with the city department. If a state trooper created the report, use KSP's records channel. Check the agency name on a citation, victim sheet, or report number before sending a request.
Dispatch data can differ from the final police narrative. A CAD record logs call handling and unit activity. A 911 recording preserves the call, subject to lawful redaction. Radio traffic and body-camera video are separate media. Asking only for “the police report” may not reach those items. Eminence Concern Forms Are Different
The city's “Report a Concern” page is a way to flag a community issue. It is not a public-record request portal. Likewise, the city forms page says common forms are added based on inquiries, but the listed set does not include a police-record request form. Submitting a concern does not establish that the records custodian received a request under the Kentucky Open Records Act.

How Eminence Records Reach the County
An Eminence officer creates the incident and arrest materials. A receiving jail creates an intake record. Eminence Railroad Record Context
Eminence was incorporated in 1851 after growth at the railroad's crossing with the New Castle-Shelbyville Turnpike. The city says its name reflects a “high place” near 900 feet, the highest rail point between Louisville and Lexington. The surviving depot remains a downtown landmark. City history also records a long horse-sale tradition and Union soldiers' occupation of fairgrounds across from the cemetery for about three years during the Civil War.

Eminence Record Access Rules
